The marina is indebted to a number of Agencies, without whose assistance it would not have been possible to undertake its development:

Business Investment Grant
ERDF-Interreg2;MER
WDA Town Improvement Grant

Holyhead Marina IS the only marina on the west coast of Britain with the range of water and land benefits listed on the Index page.

The A55 Expressway offers a dual carriageway link to the motorway network, whilst Holyhead railway station connects Intercity rail with the Irish ferries - if you get stuck in Eire or Northern Ireland, you have a ferry back to the car!

As for the cruising opportunities from the Marina, the Isle of Anglesey offers safe sailing waters, picturesque anchorages and stunning views over Snowdonia, whilst the Isle of Man & Eire are only a tide (or two) away for a long weekend.

See the CRUISING SECTION for all the details.

For some of the attachments, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Much of the sailing information, and many of the illustrations, have been taken from the local cruising guide "Cruising Anglesey & adjoining waters". Photographs are from a number of sources, in particular the RNLI Holyhead Station's own web site.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information is correct, the Marina cannot accept responsibility for it or for any damage or injury caused as a result of using it. All skippers should ensure that they are using corrected Charts of the area, at an appropriate scale and that all passage and navigational decisions are based on authoritative data from relevant issuing authorities.
